dryer stops in 5 mintuee of cycle. it didnt ot when i first got it. i cleaned the lent trap and it. customer service says reset by unplugging for 5 minutes. worked for a while. now dryer out of warranty and keeps shutting off.

we replaced our previous samsung dryer with this one. the units were similar, from the product description.
first disappointment was the flimsiness of the components. for the cost of this unit, i would have expected it to be of the same quality as the last. the knob wobbles and looks cheap and ready to break. swapping the hinges, i discovered one of the bolt holes already stripped out. the plastic covers had a broken tab, so it all but fell off.
the sensor dry feature was better on the older unit. this dryer struggles to do its job. i was very disappointed to see the bedding setting was gone. neither normal/very dry nor heavy/very dry will get a comforter even close to being dry. forget rotating it "for even drying." the dryer gives up as soon as it seems to be up to temp.

i have had this dryer a year and i am so dissapointed. i have tried every different cycle. it still takes over two hours to dry my laundry for a regular sized load of laundry. my discount dryer worked better before it broke.

i bought this dryer in march of 2021. this is the second time the repair company had to come out here to repair it. this last time the repair person had to replace the whole circuit board because all of the lights were blinking. the circuit board! the repair people are always nice but really why did i buy something new for the repair people to be at my house every couple of months. don't buy it! i wish i could give mines back because i don't want it anymore. it's a "lemon"!! you need to make better products.

i purchased this dryer and used it only 3 times. the dryer keeps flipping the breaker. i have called multiple times and a repair person was sent out by samsung. the repair guy just checked the outlet and it was giving the correct power to it. he did not know how to resolve it and said he would contact his support and left. i have not heard anything back at this point. this dryer is only 31 days old!

went to reverse the door (highlighted feature on the web site). lack of quality became obvious when the plastic pegs on the back of the plastic cover over the unused holes broke off during removal of the cover, despite being removed with much care. both of them broke different pegs. same with the cover over the unused latch slot (tabs broke this time, not pegs). tried online chat on messenger. responsive. wanted pics of parts. then pics of where they go. jumped the hoops only to be told to contact a service center, it is physical damage not covered by warranty. tried samsung support chat on the web site. connects to a group of "expert users". they are still guessing what part i am talking about. buyer be very beware

worst dryer ever. we bought it because of the large capacity. it takes multiple cycles on heavy duty high heat to dry four towels. every load of laundry that we wash, we don't have to split into two dryer loads. do not buy!
i want to be very clear, i just purchased a samsung dishwasher for my house samsung refrigerator, and multiple samsung tvs throughout my house. i was a samsung fan until i bought this piece of garbage dryer.

This dryer matches the washer I bought a ew years back and it plays the same end of cycle tune as the washer but in a higher key. It is very eeficient at drying loads and the filter is eas to clean.

i bought this dryer and the matching washer from best buy. neither samsung or bb provided information that the dryer is, by default, a rear discharge unit. if one wants to side or bottom discharge air, there is a special kit that has to be purchased.
the installers came to place the new appliances and take the old units away. when i explained the need for a bottom discharge, i was told best buy's techs cannot install a bottom discharge dryer and even if they could, i didn't have the right parts to do it.
i've looked on samsung's website for the bottom discharge kit and all that seems available is a side discharge and the reviews are sketchy at best.

so the first samsung dryer i bought from samsung went through the flood of 2016 in south louisiana and it still worked. i cleaned it out thoroughly, took it apart, cleaned each part, and put it back together and it worked for 4 years after that. i finally had to replace the heating element and various other sensors and fuses that are associated with that but the fact that it still worked after being completely submerged in water for 4 years after is astounding.

i purchased this dryer in december 2017 and in december of 2020 it stopped heating!! we have cleaned all of the vents and ducts for lint but nothing!!! we will need a new dryer, i refuse to pay over $300 for service.

I have a Samsung washer that I love so when my non-Samsung dryer broke I did not hesitate to get the matching dryer to go with it. It is very efficient at drying. Handles big loads with ease. Even king size comforters fit! I highly recommend!

I am so happy with my washer. I have had it for about a month. I have used the self clean cycle which is great. The vibration technology keeps it nice and quiet I dont hear it until the song plays telling me the load is done. I've washed my king sized comforter in it with no problem. Updated review. After a month of use I would definitely purchase this dryer because it does an amazing job drying my clothing. I wash and dry often and I have large loads. Being able to them in minimal time really helps. Product t has really helped the function if my household. It quickly dries all my clothing in one cycle

This dryer runs quietly and works to dry clothes quickly. The lint trap is so easy to remove, empty and return to the dryer. The cycle options are nice and it'll dry big heavy comforters without issue. I like that the door can be hung from either side. This came with the door on the correct side for us but I like that it can be changed if needed.
The end of cycle tune is a little obnoxious and I so wish it had an option for a basic signal. I also wish this dryer had a light inside that would turn on when the door is opened.
Overall, I'm pretty happy with this dryer and am happy with the results.

Laundry in my house is a never ending mountain. With our family of four we end up doing at least 2 loads of laundry a day, sometimes more on the weekend, so when it came time to replacing our dryer we knew we needed one that was up to the task.
I am a big fan of the size of the dryer. Samsung has done a great job in offering a lot of space in a more compact design. With the dryer specifically, they tend to tick fairly far out from the wall typically almost blocking the entry way due to the connection to the vent. The Samsung dryer is slightly taller and skinnier giving it a more elegant look and making it not look out of place in our laundry room. The design also provides more cubic space for clothes.
The noise level for the dryer is also great because in essence, it is non-existent. You can start drying the clothes and expect not to hear from your dryer again until the clothes are done.
The dryer offers several great settings and an easy to use control system that makes getting our clothes dry and fluffy every time simple and easy. The lint capture is a new design for me, but I find it to be significantly cleaner and easier to manage than the typical screen. So far, we have not had any issues with some of our clothes not being fully dry when the load is done, which is amazing.
While it is not a deal breaker, I was under the impression that the dryer could be set up with the Samsung Smartthings App, but instead you have to download the Samsung Washer App and even there it is limited functionality. After spending a while on the phone with Samsung, so far we have not been able to actually connect the dryer, but can use the diagnostic tool. At this point, we don't have any problems for me to verify that that service is working, but it appears to be. It would have been nice to be able to start the laundry remotely on my way home, but the more likely scenario is that you move the clothes and turn the dryer on, so I guess it may be more of a novelty and it doesn't take away from how much more convenient this dryer is for an active and busy family.

Capacity and noise level are the highlights of this set. I'm comparing to my old set which I inherited with the purchase of our home. We've been able to almost double the load size with this new dryer. Before we would need to limit our washer load because the dryer would not handle a full load from the washer. Our installer broke the water valve handle when installing the new washer so he was only able to install the dryer, which is silent and amazing! Once the valve is repair and washer is installed I will update my review.

They come out exactly the right amount of dryness--no dampness and also not overly heated. I like how you can use the smart technology or you can manually set a time increment. It also has several settings for delicates or fluff dry. My only complaint is that the inside is dark grey and there is no light when you open the door so it is impossible to see if you forget to pull out anything. Our old dryer had this light and I am very surprised this modern unit doesn't have that basic feature. You also can change the orientation of the door to either side to best accommodate your space.

Using this has been a breeze. I wake up early to do laundry and this dryer has shortened my drying time tremendously. I love that I only have to go through one drying cycle to get everything done. It's also pretty quiet.

This dryer works well and dries a load quicker than my old dryer. The biggest complaint I have about this dryer is there is not light inside, and the inside of the drum is dark grey. These two together make it very difficult to see if anything is left after emptying a load. Another feature I like a lot is the timer shows exactly how much time is left in a load. I like the sensor feature since I don't have to guess how long to dry a load.

We really like this dryer! It's geared more for medium, average loads, not so much the larger loads if you only want to have to use one cycle. We have had to run it a couple of times twice to get larger loads dry. Any of our king/queen blankets we will run through on a timed dry and pull it out, rearrange and put it back in for another 60min timed dry and depending on the thickness we generally have to just hang it to finish drying completely but that's to be expected unless you have a large capacity dryer. We have checked our dryer vents and lines just to make sure that wasn't the issue and those were clean. It dries quietly and as long as you keep your load the appropriate size it dries well and overall we really like it. We aren't crazy about the dry sensor. There are a few times we have had to restart the dryer or just use the timed dry setting to make sure a heavier amount of clothes gets dry. The clothes will tumble just right into a ball and the middle of the balled of items will still be damp. A family of five with three small children has A LOT of clothes to dry to we understand some of those larger loads probably needed to be toned down a bit in the first place. The lint trap is great! So easy to clean and it really grabs on to some of the annoying stuff that usually gets caught in the lint trap then falls out when you pull the trap out. That's not an issue for this lint trap. My biggest question is, why no light in the dryer? Its such a tiny inconvenience but once you no longer have it you realize how much you missed it. Still, we are very pleased.

I have to say this was the best purchase we have decided to make in a long time. The dryer is super quiet has an amazing cute song at the end to show it is done. And I am just so pleased with it.
Only downside I can see is sometimes it doesn't seem to measure the moisture level correctly and my load of laundry will still be a bit damp. Although, it could be used error seeing I have stepped in to the 21 century after upgrade my 8 year old machines.

This dryer has exceeded my expectations! It does a fantastic job drying my laundry and I think it does so in less time than my last dryer! It seems a little smaller than my last dryer, which was enormous, but this thing is still huge. I especially like that it dries my bedding sheets in one cycle. Previous dryers I would have to take the sheets out and restart the cycle because they'd be all balled up and wet in the middle. This dryer doesn't so this at all. I'm not sir why but I love it!! I highly recommend this dryer!

I love that it has Sensor dry and how dry the clothes are and keeps it going until they are dry! Keeps me from running down to check if they need more time! It has 8 different setting for you to choose from. Holds a lot too! It was nice to be able to switch the door around so it made sense in my space. Being able to check on the dryer from my phone using the Smart Things app was way cool! I highly recommend this product!

The dryer is a smooth running machine. Once I loaded the clothes in the dryer and pushed a few buttons off and quiet as a mouse it worked. Front loader not to low like other appliances. The timer lets you know when the clothes will be ready as well as the step by step process of the cycle . I am in absolute love with it.

I'll start with what I love the most about this drier, and that is the auto sensor. It knows when my clothes are dry. I set it too auto and leave. I come back and my clothes are dried to the level I had set them to. I stick my head in the drier and look for the sensors, I don't see any lol . How it knows, I have no idea but it fascinates me that it can distinguish between very / more / normal and damp. And it so quick, 45 minutes (my old drier sometimes took upto two hours) for an average size load. And unlike my old drier that had that old buzzer sound that went Bzzzzzzz, this Samsung electric drier plays a cute musical tune to let you know that your clothes are ready. Now if drier could only fold the clothes..... Maybe the next model I purchase from Samsung in a decade or so will have that feature. The photo below are the family refusing to fold and from delivery day.

This dryer has been a good addition to my laundry room. I like that you can change the direction of the door to suit its placement. It has a large drum that holds a lot of clothes. I like the wide variety of dryer settings. I know I can put just about anything in it and it will be dried properly. It doesn't take very long for the clothes to come dry in this machine. I don't spend the whole day waiting for my clothes to be dry. The lint trap catches so much more that my old dryer did. More lint in the catch means less in the exhaust venting. I'm glad we have this dryer.

I am in Love!! My new dryer makes my laundry go so quickly. I have two children and a husband that gets dirty at work. Previously, I was having to dry my clothes at least twice to get them dry. No more! One regular cycle gets even my husband's work clothes dry. Also, the clothes are always dry after only one cycle. This saves so much time! I also love all of the customizable options. There are tons of settings while still being easy to use. Love this!

This is one great dryer. It is the perfect compact size for a small laundry area, or even a bigger one. Don't let its size fool you though, as it has a large capacity drum that can hold even a large load of linens. It dries the first time, every time. It is super quiet and plays a little melody at the end of each cycle to let you know it's done.

We do many loads of laundry in our household, but for me the testament of a good dryer is how well it dries a comforter. We wash our comforter once a week and would prefer not to have to wait hours for it to dry. We wanted an efficient dryer that dried our comforter and heavier loads in one dry cycle. We have a cal king so this was an important feature to us. I can safely say this unit dries our comforter in one cycle! Yay! The design in my opinion compared to others is pretty simplified or minimalistic, which I am okay with. I was looking for performance. If you are in the market for a dryer that excels in performing efficiently look no further this is the dryer for you.

This dryer is really impressive. It is extremely user-friendly and for most loads, gets the job done efficiently. It has eight different drying options, which is useful, but not a feature that our family will use very often. We just want our clothes to be dry! The load capacity is good, but I do wish it was a bit bigger since we do laundry so often. We were able to get our comforter in, but it took several cycles to dry it fully since it was so compact in the space.
One of the most important features to me, as a mom of a newborn baby and toddler is the noise level. Our older dyer was very loud. This one is very quiet by contrast.
Overall I am really happy with this dyer and would recommend it to others.

This dryer exceeded all my expectations! We had recently started to experience issues with our old dryer, and Samsung was one of the brands we were researching, so we were thrilled to get this new set by Samsung. The entire process screamed efficiency! The delivery process was quick and painless. The delivery was seamless and I've noticed that the drying process is much more efficient. The dryer has a small footprint and has sufficient capacity for the size of our family. I also loves that it cools the clothes before it ends so that you aren't burned when you remove the clothes. I wish the tune that were played was selectable and I wish there was a light in the dryer. Outside of that, I'm happy with this unit and would recommend it to my family and friends.

i had the opportunity to get this dryer at a discounted price for my honest review. let me start by saying i was skeptical at best after hearing from friends that samsung home products are not great. but honestly, they could not be more wrong. this dryer works amazing, i barely hear it. my cloths come out fresh smelling and lint free. we have two dogs so it defiantly gets a work out with all the pet hair on our cloths. i would say the only thing i am not gaa gaa over is that sometimes the auto dry does not fully dry my load. some items will be dry while others are still a bit damp. i am still very happy with my dryer. fyi, i got the washer too! i am one happy mommy.
