I just bought this washer a couple months ago and it™™s junk. Don™™t waste your money on this, get a speed queen or something else. Heck go down by the river and wash them by hand before you buy this. The washer won™™t fill correctly, randomly stops working. Have tried everything online. We should not be having issues with something this new already. DO NOT BUY!!

Has not worked right from 1. Many complaints went unanswered. Have to fill with a hose, won't spin or rinse on whites or colors, only on casual setting. 2, 3rd party vendors did not fix, finally GE came out, now wanting for parts. Warranty runs out 14 days.

This is the 2nd GE washer I™™ve bought. First one lasted about 6 years before it started making a terrible noise on spin. Bought another very similar look to the model this one makes strange noise like sloshing too much water. But it works fine. Wish it was quieter but no other complaints

The construction is solid, the basin is roomy, the controls are simple, the operation is surprisingly quiet, and the results are very good 95% of the time. My main gripe with this unit is that the unbalance signal during the final rinse and spin cycle seems to go off too frequently. This almost always happens when the load is made up of sheets and towels. At the end of the spin cycle, the light is blinking and the items washed are more damp than they should be, certainly too wet to be placed in the dryer. The solution is to run another rinse and spin cycle alone, which occasionally results in yet another imbalance. It isn't a heavy volume of sheets and towels that I've loaded; in fact it's on the light side. The machine should be able to handle it. Overall, I'm pleased with the unit and the imbalance problem doesn't occur too often.

Came with a dent in the lower left hand side closest to the back side of the washer. Because of the positioning next to the dryer, it won't be noticeable unless you specifically look for it. The packaging on the outside was dented. Unit works great! It's quieter than the Speed Queen we used to have. Had it not been for the dent then I would've given a 5 star.

The washer was just installed today and only 1 load of cloths washed so far. Washer is a little load, but otherwise works as expected. The owners manual/users guide is a total waste. Information about too many different models, so can't tell if it is referring my model or some other washer. Waste of time reading it.

Clothes end up bunched onto one side thereby unbalancing the load and violently banging and moving when it spins. Then it stops. Have to babysit it to rebalance the soaking wet clothes so it will continue to spin. Buyers remorse.

This washer is extremely loud (scares my dogs). Even worse though is that it doesn't clean very well. I've put the water level to max and it still doesn't fill the tub. I had a smaller washer that cleaned my round dog beds while this one doesn't cover the bed with water (on max level) and leaves it dirty. I got stuck with this unit because it was the only one small enough to fit in my utility room and it was a HUGE mistake. I would have been better off repairing my 18-yr-old Fisher & Paykel. Even with this model being a very basic appliance it wasn't any cheaper than other bigger & better options. I wouldn't recommend this washer to anyone as it's a loud appliance that doesn't clean well at all.

Soon after I purchased this unit, I had a rep in my home to determine a problem that turned out to not be a problem that was not a washer problem. He was a liittle surprised when he saw the washing machine because he thought that model had been discontinued. Imagine my surprise that my ™new™ washing machine may have been discontinued. Anyway, when I can, I will buy a front loader. I like GE washing machines and dryers and will continue to use them but this purchase was a mistake.

Energy efficient Washing Machine

This machine seems to clean the clothes, as well as my old one. Says it is energy efficient, but the full cycle took longer the my old machine. Overall my biggest concern with this machine is the noise level, it is twice as noisy as my old machine, which was over 26 years old, that is disapointing!

Sometime I like to change the water level when washing say from low to medium if I want to add more clothing.. mashing does not like that!!?? Noisy but must be the gears. Washing two or three towels causes washer to move forward across the floor in wash cycle and goes off balance then shuts down.. Towels are waded up in a ball and at the front of the ringer. We have leveled and had the level checked several times.

My old washing machine lasted us since 1991-with many repairs of course. We could no longer find parts and finally opted for this machine. It works great! However, if you keep your laundry room inside your home rather than out in the garage like we do, you will notice how loud the machine is while running. I was worried at first about the clicking noise during the spin cycle but the washer guide said it was normal. I love that you have a water level adjustment and it is a high efficiency machine. It also makes a fairly loud whooshing while it washes. It doesn't bother me since it's out in the garage. If you dont care about the noise it's a great machine :)

Absolutely despise this washer. Constantly out of balance and is ridiculously loud. We do not mix heavy and light items and it is still out of balance. We meticulously place clothes around the agitator. Sheets twisted up so tightly that I had to have my husband separate them. The only cycle that does not get out of balance is delicates. I am embarrassed to use this washer with anyone visiting because of the noise and banging.

This is the worst product I ever bought. I want to get rid of it. The clothes come out wrinkled, they have soap spots on them, there is no way to fill the huge basket, and it makes an incredible noise as it agitates. It is ruining my clothes. I can find no way to get the water level higher than 6 inches.

This is the 6th washer I™™ve owned as an adult (moved several times). Worst ever! I™™ve never seen a washer tie sheets in knots. Constantly goes off balance so you have to keep rearranging everything and adding bulky towels to it. In the 50™™s my grandmother had a wringer washing machine that she pulled out of the shed. It was less work!

I like the deep-ish fill option and that I can actually control the water level myself, and that it has a hot water wash that is actually HOT. However the washer basket is so wide that the centrifugal force of the spin cycle causes a LOT of out of balance loads. Towels, sweatshirts, or anything else heavy are rather a huge hassle, roughly 30% of the time the spin cycle aborts and I need to manually rearrange things and then do another drain and spin, or sometimes it just spins at a lower speed for a very long time. It also has some rather violent agitation and seems to be causing some additional wear on clothes, things come out VERY twisted up. I liked my old washer better.

I was looking for a non He washing machine and this one was sold to me at Lowe™™s. During the first wash, I noticed how low the water level was and became suspicious. In the Quick Guide there is only one reference stating that this is, in fact, a He machine. A direct Google search also says it is He, but it does not say so on the info scanning square at the store. It does have a deep fill option to compensate, but it is for either for 3 gallons more or a full tub. If you select Warm as your water temperature but leave the lid up as it fills, only HOT water comes out. I have been selecting a higher water level to begin with than my actual load size. It cleans the clothes fine but seems rough on the fabrics. I feel stuck with it. The Direct Fill is also confusing about when to select it and does not work on a normal wash. Capacity is good.
