Had to buy a replacement for my son's room, in the middle of August. Needless to say, we found one of the last units available at our local Lowe's. This unit is amazing! Cools his room very quickly, and also is very quiet. We have had a hotter than usual summer, and I 'm very pleased with this air conditioner.

It was very easy to install and the best feature of all that the dials were on the right because my sliding window opens from right to left. You are the only one that has that option. So with the knobs being on the right side I can actually clean out the filter and pull it out from the left side. The price is reasonable compared to others. My son's room has a portable one and eventually you need to drain the water from it. It's really bulky. I 'm thinking of getting another one for his room. It doesn't take up space! I really like it. The only thing I kind of don't like is it is loud. Not as loud as my son's.

We are living in an old RV while our house is being built. The a/c wouldn't work in the RV, so we bought this 5000 btu window unit. It is doing an amazing job in this humid, 90 degree weather. The final in the unit were damaged a bit, but it seems to be working just fine. It was purchased at Lowe's.

Quiet, but takes many hours to just slightly cool the room. It does not circulate around the room well at all and is only cold directly in front of the fans. Room is less than 150 square feet.

This 5,000 BTU AC unit is nice and quiet unlike our other brand new version we had. I do wish the vents had a vertical setting so you can truly steer the air in both vertical and horizontal direction. It cools well once it gets going usually after about 20 minutes it will drop the temperature of an average bedroom size down about ten degrees I believe. It™™s been working well so we are very pleased.

Was easy to install though 1 with vinyl windows, the expansion pieces don't fit the window well. 2 One side bracket went on fine while the other would not secure with the little screw. And, 3 the screws were not long enough to secure to windowsill.
Cooled bedroom from 102 to 86 in 2 hours. AC was not running at max but at high cool on number 6.

Seems to work fine. The vibration from the compressor that occurs every so often minimally shakes the wall. It drives my wife crazy. So I spent Friday afternoon placing all kinds of foam insulation around wherever the unit was touching the window frame. Still shakes™¦but whatever™¦Check out the video at the 0:37 second mark. The vibration can be heard the resonates through the wall.

The unit performed exactly as stated. It cooled a large area down quickly and was used for five days in a row until the main central unit was repaired. The instructions for installation were straightforward and is light enough to be carried by one person to be stored until the next emergency. It is fairly quiet, even at the highest airflow setting.

Simple to install, quiet unit, mediocre airflow, seems to be a sturdy unit. Cooling is good, have to use max to cool down room, then turn down for comfort. Haven™™t had it long enough to check efficiency.

It works like it is supposed to. Cools our bedroom down quickly. It replaced a relatively new A/C unit that had electronic controls --- but the electronic controls stopped working -- even though the A/C unit still ran fine. This new A/C unit has knobs that are sturdy and will hold up for a long time -- no electronics with little lights. No remote control that works only sometimes.

Works great in the bedroom where we placed it. Installation wasn't as easy as as I had hooped but that's because we live in a trailer and trailers aren't built to a normal house's specs. So you can't really follow all the instructions all the way, but not that big of a deal if you use a little Ingenuity.
